"Sarathi" - Sarath Ekanayake Auditorium located within the Central Provincial Council Complex can be booked by institutions belonging to the Central Provincial Council as well as by other public/private institutions.

Auditorium reservation

  1. Verify whether the auditorium is available on your desired date and time by calling 081-4953245.
  2. To reserve the auditorium, complete the following application form and submit it to the Administration Division of the Chief Secretariat or send it to the email address csecp1@gmail.com

  3. Once your application is approved, you will receive instructions on the fee to be paid and the method of payment.
  4. Official permission to use the auditorium will be granted upon submission of the receipt of payment of the relevant fee before the reservation date.

Instructions and conditions for using the auditorium

  • Decorations brought into the hall from outside need to be removed and you shall bear responsibility for them.
  • Items and equipment placed in the hall should not be removed from their designated places and shall be used in a manner that does not cause damage to them.
  • Waste should be disposed of properly in designated garbage bins.
  • Assistance of our Staff member should be sought when operating equipment such as the screen, microphones, and projectors on the stage.
  • Additional stage lights, sound equipment, etc. should not be newly installed or replaced to the existing system without the approval of the Chief Engineer.
  • No fires (except for oil lamps) or smoke-emitting devices should be lit in the hall. (If you do so, the fire protection system will automatically activate and water will be sprayed.)
  • Decorations should be made using appropriate supports so as not to damage the walls and equipment of the hall.
  • Eating and serving of refreshments is prohibited on stage and inside the seating area of the auditorium. There’s a separate area allocated for this purpose. 
  • While our staff is always ready to provide maximum and efficient service with the resources available in the hall, it is your responsibility to personally check whether those resources are sufficient for your task.
  • A staff member will be available for necessary coordination and services when the auditorium is in use.
