The Central Provincial Management Development Training Unit, established as per Public Administrative Circular 12/90 and enhanced as per Public Administrative Circular 14/90 and 11/2001, has been established under the Chief Secretary's Personnel and Training Division to transform human capital into a professional, innovative, and highly competent public service. The MDTU vision is to create a quality human resource for people oriented public service that is "Inclusive, Innovative, and Integrity-driven". By blending traditional management wisdom with cutting-edge digital tools, we ensure that the Central Provincial Council remains resilient in the face of global changes and responsive to the aspirations of our citizens.
Functions of Management Development Training Unit
• Development of human resources in the provincial public service through the implementation of training programs.
• Organizing, implementing and evaluating training programs according to the annual training plan prepared in accordance with the 2024-2028 five-year Strategic Plan of the Management Development Training Unit.
• Implementation of training programs related to official language proficiency
• Providing provisions for postgraduate/diploma/certificate courses related to service minutes.
• Providing provisions for officers who are referred to training programs conducted by other institutions based on the needs of the service.
• Implementation of productivity promotion programs.
• Providing practical training opportunities to apprentices studying vocational training.
• Referral of nominations for foreign training
• Activities related to local study leave
